In conjunction with the Opening Reception for Elemental Energy: Art Powered by Nature, this performance will be held at dusk in Founders Grove.
*Tickets $5
Miro Dance Theatre creates and performs original work that explores the collaborative intersections of contemporary dance, video, and visual art. In 2004 dancer and choreographer Amanda Miller and video and visual artist Tobin Rothlein founded Miro Dance Theatre in order to realize their unique creative vision, and explore the intersections of contemporary dance, video, and visual art. Miro's new gallery work is created in reponse to a challenge: to make and perform a mult-media piece using only sustainable energy...without plugging in to the power grid. With Generate.Degenerate. Miro has left computers and video projectors behind, and will be powering the show entirely though bike generated energy.

Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company – Presenting Moliere’s The Miser
*Free for Members! In conjunction with the annual SCEE Member Picnic. Suggested donation for non-members.
Moliere, one of the world’s most renowned playwrights, gives us a timely and horrifyingly funny look at the dark side of 'frugality" in his comic masterpiece, The Miser. The play is full of histrionics and hilarity. The wealthy Harpagon (the 'miser' in title) works feverishly to maintain his frugal lifestyle despite the mounting challenges that his children, his servants, and his own impending marriage place on his relationship with his only true love: his gold.
