Adopt an AnimalAdopt an AnimalEach year, The Schuylkill Center's Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic (WRC) cares for thousands of injured wildlife. This year alone, The WRC has provided care for nearly 3000 native birds and mammals that were injured, orphaned, or displaced. In addition to food and shelter, animals brought to our clinic often require specialist care including medicine, x-rays and surgery. Around the clock care is provided by our skilled Wildlife Rehabilitation staff, and a corps of dedicated volunteers. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic is also home to several educational animals, whose injuries make it impossible for them to be returned to the wild. Each of these animals act as The Schuylkill Center’s wildlife ambassadors, teaching children and adults alike about the beauty of our native species, and the importance of preserving their woodland habitat. Now you can support the efforts of staff and volunteers of the WRC by participating in The Schuylkill Center’s Adopt an Animal program. When you adopt an animal, you make a much needed contribution to the cost of the care needed to restore all of our patients to health, and return them to their rightful place in the wild. Your contribution at any level will make a difference not only in the life of your chosen animal, but also in the lives of the animals served by the clinic throughout the year. Adopt a native animal today, or give an animal adoption as a gift to a friend, family member or colleague who enjoys wildlife as much as you! Click here to Adopt »
