Full Day

Full-Day Field Trips Grades 4 - 12
Our full-day programs allow students time to delve more deeply into subject areas over the course of three hours with our educators. Choose one of our standard full-day options or combine any two half-day topics.

Fees for Full-day Field Trips
$10 per student; $100 minimum (3 hour program)
One adult admitted free with groups up to ten students. $5 fee per each additional adult.

Insects and Integrated Pest Management
Offered April through November.
In addition to exploring the physical structure and behaviors of insects, students learn what a pest is, and how one can affect our natural environment.

Aquatic Ecology & Water Quality
Students perform a complete water quality assessment of a pond or stream! Students will learn about watersheds and how they affect our waterways, examine stream critters under a microscope, and conduct pollution experiments.

Ecosystems & Adaptations
This program reinforces the concept that every species has a unique set of characteristics which help them to survive and reproduce. Students will learn how the environment influences a species’ adaptation through the process of natural selection.

Angling for Pennsylvania Fish
Offered in September, October, May and June.
Learn to fish through a fun and educational experience based on the PA Fish & Boat
Commission’s SMART Angler program. Students will learn about the biology and habitat needs of freshwater fish, and will have the opportunity to catch and observe the variety of fish species that live in our Wind Dance Pond.

Combine any two half-day programs, such as Ecosystem Exploration and Incredible Insects or Amazing Adaptations and Biodiversity.
