Great Backyard Bird Count
February 15 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Free
The Great Back Yard Bird Count is a yearly international community science event where participants search for birds over the weekend before Presidents Day. Join us at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education to participate in this year’s event. Volunteers from the Liberty Bird Alliance (formerly known as the Wyncote Audubon Society) will help participants take part!
This event will take place in the Visitor Center in the section overlooking the feeders in the courtyard. It will be an informal event where you may “come and go” as you wish or stay for the entire time! Volunteers will assist participants with bird identification, the use of loaner binoculars, and guidance for accurately reporting the bird count. This event is open to the public, and Schuylkill Center and Liberty Bird Alliance members are welcome!
