Solstice Celebration

$30Celebrate the Winter Solstice at the Schuylkill Center during our last event of 2024. Make winter wreaths and other crafts with Rose Hammerman of Philadelphia Free Range Education. Then explore the trails during a sunset hike led by Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, Molly Frieberg. We will also be joined by Chief Barbara “Bluejay” Michalski of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, who will be sharing Lenape stories of the importance of wintertime. We will warm up in the cold with music, hot chocolate, fresh air, and good company galore.
Tickets: $30. Register as a group of 4 or more for a 20% discount! Ages three and under are free with an accompanying adult ticket purchase.

More about Molly Frieberg
Molly Freiberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the owner of Inhabit & Rise, her private therapy practice in Philadelphia. She trained at the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership to become a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide and studied at the Gestalt Training Institute of Philadelphia. In other lives she’s been a Forest Kindergarten teacher and a land trust employee. Currently she loves offering in-person, virtual, and walk-and-talk therapy out in nature, training therapists and counselors about mindfulness in nature, supervising MSW students at SUNY Albany, and guiding Mindful Nature Walks and events throughout the area.
