Winter Bird Census
February 8 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
Free
January is great time of year for bird watching here at the Schuylkill Center. On February 8 we’re inviting birders to help us collect data for our annual Winter Bird Census! Help monitor the abundance of bird species that winter in our forests and fields. All of the information we collect will be shared with other citizen scientists, helping us to better understand how our local bird populations change over time.
Drinks and food will be provided for participants. Birders of any level experience are welcome to join, no experience necessary! This program is for adults only. Sign up for event updates and reminders.
This event is part of our Winterfest series, which celebrates wildlife at the Schuylkill Center. We invite you to bring a donation of paper towels, cotton balls, trash bags, or dawn dish soap to this event to help us care for sick, injured, or abandoned wildlife at the Wildlife Clinic.
