The Woven Seed: Collecting the Materials

Join us on October 21 for a two-part workshop series on local seed jewelry. Throughout history, cultures around the world have made beautiful and intricate necklaces, bracelets and earrings using their locally foraged seeds. In this workshop, local artists Eric César Morales and Andrew Croft will take you on a hunt to find the raw materials to make seed jewelry. Along the way, we will learn about plant identification and local biodiversity while learning about the historical and cultural relevance of the seeds we collect. The rain date for this event is October 28. (NOTE: Keep an eye out this winter for Part II of this workshop, which will include making jewelry with the foraged seeds!)
