We invite visitors to explore our forests and fields, ponds and streams.
The Schuylkill Center is located in Upper Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia, at 8480 Hagy’s Mill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128. We are the largest privately owned open space in Philadelphia. Our trails and Visitor Center are open to the public, for free, due to the generosity of our members. Membership supports our innovative educational programs and helps preserve and maintain the Schuylkill Center for all visitors to enjoy. If you enjoy your visit, consider becoming a member.
Hours
Visitors Center: Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5 pm
Trails: Open daily, dawn till dusk
The front gate closes at 5pm, Monday – Saturday.
Trails
With 365 acres and over three miles of hiking trails, visitors have a rich landscape to explore our nature preserve’s forests and fields, ponds and streams. Trails are free and open daily from dawn to dusk.

Explore the Schuylkill Center

VISITOR CENTER
In our Visitor Center, you can find our Discovery Center’s interactive exhibits, environmental art gallery, green roof, nature gift shop, classrooms, offices, and public restrooms.
WILDLIFE CLINIC
The Schuylkill Center’s Wildlife Clinic is located at 304 Port Royal Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19128. The Wildlife Clinic is not available for tours. If you have an injured/orphaned animal, call 215-482-7300 x option 2. Learn more about the Wildlife Clinic.

Rules
For the safety of our plants, birds, and animals, we do not allow bikes, horses, or ATVs on the trails.
Please leave dogs at home. Service animals are welcome.
Picnics are welcome. Please take your trash and recycling with you or dispose of in the appropriate containers in the Visitor Center.
Please do not collect or harvest any native plants or any animals.
Smoking, alcohol, and drugs are not permitted on our grounds.
